Amanda Hodges Weir is a freelance writer, teacher, artist and mother of one. Her interests vary from literature to craft beer.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Mississippi. Following the completion of her degree, she taught art in a rural elementary school in Central Louisiana.

Amanda now busies herself chasing after her three year old daughter as she scales furniture leaving havok in her wake. In between sippy cup spills and food fights, Amanda writes fiction. Foliate Oak Literary Magazine and Poor Mojo's Almanac both published her story, “Souls of the Shoes”. She is currently working on a middle reader novel set in Louisiana.
